Privacy Policy

CineIntel Africa is operated by Symbiosis LLC, a Delaware limited liability company based in the Washington, DC area. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to cineintelafrica.com and to the CineIntel Africa platform.

Information we collect

• Contact and demo requests. When you request a demo we collect your name, organization, role, work email, and any message you send.
• Account information. When you create a platform account we collect your email, hashed password, display name, and role assignment.
• Content you submit. Titles, reviews, compliance documents, and other records you upload to the platform.
• Usage and device data. Standard log data including IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, used to secure and improve the service.

How we use information

• To deliver the CineIntel Africa platform and respond to inquiries.
• To authenticate users, enforce access controls, and maintain audit trails required by our compliance module.
• To send transactional email such as verification, password reset, and notification updates you have subscribed to.
• To improve product quality, reliability, and security.

Legal bases

Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on contract performance for account and service delivery, legitimate interests for product improvement and security, and consent for optional marketing communications.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share limited data with vetted processors that host the platform, send transactional email, and provide analytics, each under written data protection terms. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Symbiosis LLC, our users, or the public.

Data retention

We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active and for a limited period afterward to satisfy legal, tax, and audit obligations. Demo request records are retained for up to 24 months.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@cineintelafrica.com.

Security

We use encryption in transit, role-based access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect the data you entrust to us.

International transfers

Data is processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our infrastructure providers operate. Where required, we use standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
